Hello. Hello and Hi! My name is Andrew Greyson. I work as a recruitment consultant for one of the ten biggest companies in a world (you can guess which one, as well as if Greyson is my true surname).

Anyway, I am bored with hundreds of misconceptions online, about the job interviews, resume writing, as well as recruitment processes in the companies. I decided to start this simple journal, to give you some good and actually working tips to help you distinguish the truth from the myths.

I’ll update this journal often. I may also link to some external sources (those few that are worth it). I will try to make my entries short, to the point and keep it all on the homepage.

PS: If you can not write your resume, you can use my resume writing service.

  • 7th April 2012 – First Entry. “The best match for the job is chosen at the end of the interview”.

This is a complete misconception. How could the best match for the job be chosen based on the short meeting and few questions that everyone can prepare for before an interview? Not the best person for the job is chosen, but the person that has the best self selling skills (or that is attractive to the women section of interviewing panel) is chosen. Give or take…

  • 8th April 2012 – I do not have anything to put on my resume.

Come on, wake up. Resume is not only about your experience and education. You also have your mind and soul and body and personality. If you can not use the common things on the resume, then use the uncommon one! Probably an applicant with a good chance to succeed with any resume is this one.

  • 9th April 2012 – Good point of view on interview questions.

I browse for you today guys lot of sources to find something that can be at least little helpful for the interview. You know, most of the time it’s just lot of confusing data. However, this list of answers to interview questions from Interview Penguin really caught my attention. I can’t believe someone can be so honest to the job seekers, so take it with reserve. Still, it’s the best list I’ve found.
